Changes in Mudfish v4.6.0

· 2 min read

Mudfish v4.6.0 introduces changes that may be unfamiliar to existing users. This post explains them in more detail.

A new Connect button

Before Mudfish v4.6.0, the workflow was:

  1. Run Mudfish Launcher as administrator from the Start menu.
  2. Sign in.
  3. Wait for configuration to finish.
  4. Start the game.

Starting with v4.6.0, the workflow is:

  1. Run Mudfish Launcher as administrator from the Start menu.
  2. Sign in.
  3. Click Connect.
  4. Wait for configuration to finish.
  5. Start the game.

Although this adds a step, it makes the experience more consistent with Mudfish on other platforms. Using automatic login can reduce the steps needed to turn the VPN on and off.

A new Public Free Nodes tab

Approximately 400–600 public free nodes have been added, giving users more nodes to choose from. Previously, only nodes provided by Mudfish Networks were available. With OpenVPN client support in v4.6.0, you can also use free servers available on the Internet.

These free servers:

  • Do not require Mudfish credit.
  • Have no speed limit imposed by Mudfish.

Mudfish Networks does not operate these free servers and accepts no responsibility for disconnections, instability, or other issues they cause.

The Public Free Nodes tab is available under Setup → Program → Full VPN. Support for using these nodes in game item settings is planned for a future version.
